Welcome! We’re so excited you’re here. By booking a session, applying through our form, or purchasing a product or service from Kristen McKay Photo (that’s us), you’re agreeing to the following Terms & Conditions. TL;DR: we promise to show up for you, and you promise to play fair too. Cool? Cool.

📝 1. Booking + Payment

  • All session bookings require a non-refundable retainer to reserve your date.
  • Full session collections must be paid in full 2 weeks before your shoot date, via our pre session payment plans
  • If you’re using Affirm or another third-party service, their terms also apply (so read the fine print there too).

💳 2. Payment Plans

  • We offer flexible, interest-free payment plans (weekly, biweekly, or monthly) to make things manageable.
  • Missed or failed payments may result in cancellation of your session and loss of your retainer.
  • If you ghost your payment plan, we will definitely reach out (nicely, but firmly) to get things back on track.

🔄 3. Rescheduling + Cancellation

  • Life happens. You may reschedule your session once with at least 30 days’ notice.
  • Cancellations or no-shows will forfeit your retainer and applciable fees.
  • Emergencies? Talk to us — we’re human too, and we’ll do our best to work with you.

🔒 4. Client Privacy + Image Use

  • Your privacy matters. We never post or share your photos without your explicit written consent.
  • If you sign a model release, your images may be used for marketing, portfolio, or promotional materials — but only the ones you approve.
  • You can always opt-out, no pressure.

📸 5. Copyright + Content Use

  • All content, branding, and images created by Kristen McKay Photo remain the property of Kristen McKay Photo unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Clients may share their purchased images for personal use (print, post, gift), but may not sell or edit them without permission.

🤷‍♀️ 6. No Guarantees

  • We do everything in our power to deliver an amazing experience and final images you’ll love — but we can’t guarantee specific outcomes (hair, weather, your mood that day — we don’t control the stars, unfortunately).
  • We’re also not responsible for allergic reactions to makeup or wardrobe mishaps. We’ll always do our best to fix it though.

📬 7. Communication + Contact

  • By submitting your info, you agree to receive emails and SMS updates related to your booking, promos, and reminders. You can unsubscribe at any time (but we hope you won’t).
  • We never spam, and we definitely don’t sell your info. Pinky swear.
